Education:

• Studied business management and economics at the University of Bern, graduating lic. rer. pol. in 1994 • Followed by a PhD focusing on management and organisation, doctorate gained in 1998

Professional experience:

• Worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Organization and Human Resources Management at the University of Bern while studying for his doctorate • Subsequently, Assistant to the Head of the Energy Division at an international engineering group • This was followed by periods spent as a consultant and project leader for a global firm of strategy consultants, and as a management consultant and owner of Transforma Management Consulting • From 2007 to the end of 2010: Head of Market International and member of the Management Board of a division of a major Swiss corporation • Partner at Transforma Ltd. since April 2011

Core areas of expertise:

• Strategy development and optimisation, development and realignment of business models • Reorganisations and organisation design (value chain and process modelling, structural design and management systems alignment) in the national and international context • Advice and support with comprehensive transformations of companies and institutions • Comprehensive knowledge of the challenges faced in cross-border management and market development

Languages:

Business German, English, French and Spanish; verbal Italian

Additional activities:

• Various directorships, among others member of the Board of Directors of Veriset Küchen AG since 2007. • Lecturer at the University of Bern and active in selected further training courses for specialists and executives. • Publication of several books and numerous articles on a range of topics in organisation design.
